A heavy-duty hydraulic press system that forces heated aluminum billets through a shaped die to create profiles with a fixed cross-sectional profile. This machinery is used to manufacture structural components, window frames, and heat sinks.
The Wonsten aluminum profile extrusion
press machine is engineered for continuous, high-yield production of
architectural, industrial, and automotive aluminum profiles. Built on a highly
rigid, pre-stressed tie-rod frame, this horizontal hydraulic press minimizes
deflection under maximum tonnage, ensuring strict platen parallelism and
extended die life.
By optimizing the hydraulic manifold block
and main ram action, we significantly reduce the dead cycle time (non-extrusion
time), directly increasing your billets-per-hour output and maximizing material
yield rates.
Core Mechanical & Hydraulic Systems
We manufacture our extrusion presses to
maintain stability under 24/7 heavy-load operations. The structural integrity
and hydraulic logic are designed for precise speed control and isothermal
extrusion capabilities.

Extrusion Applications
This press is configured to extrude
6000-series (and other alloy) aluminum billets into complex solid and hollow
profiles for demanding sectors:
Why Source Your Extrusion Line From
Wonsten?
Purchasing an aluminum extrusion press
requires long-term reliability. We cast and machine the main cylinders, front
platens, and moving crossheads in our own heavy machining facility to control
metallurgical quality.
Furthermore, Wonsten does not just supply
the standalone press. We can configure and integrate the entire turnkey
extrusion line, including the log heating furnace with hot shear, the
handling table (cooling beds), pullers, stretchers, and the final aging oven.
All equipment is synchronized under a unified control system.
Frequently Asked Questions (FAQ)
How do I determine the right press
tonnage for my aluminum profiles?
The required tonnage depends primarily on
the Circumscribing Circle Diameter (CCD) of your largest profile and the
extrusion ratio. Generally, a 1000T press is suitable for profiles with a CCD
up to 120mm, while a 2500T press can handle a CCD up to 250mm, such as those
needed for EV battery trays or large heat sinks.
Does this machine support isothermal
extrusion?
Yes. When paired with a profile exit
temperature scanner, the Siemens PLC can automatically adjust the extrusion
speed in real-time. This keeps the material temperature constant as it exits
the die, preventing tearing and ensuring uniform mechanical properties.
Can you upgrade the hydraulic system
with servo motors?
Yes. We offer an optional servo-driven
hydraulic pump system. This configuration significantly reduces idle power
consumption, lowers hydraulic oil operating temperatures, and decreases ambient
factory noise.
